Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 November 2025
HYPD Advertising Intelligence GmbH ("HYPD", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website, products, and services (collectively, the "Services").
We currently focus on read-only Google Ads integrations. Our marketing materials may describe planned or upcoming integrations (for example, with Meta or other platforms), but those are not yet active unless explicitly stated in this Privacy Policy. As we add new integrations in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
By using our Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Who We Are

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at contact@hypd.ai.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
Visitors to our website (including hypd.ai or related domains and subdomains),
Users who create an account on HYPD,
Users who connect their Google Ads accounts to HYPD, and
Individuals who interact with us by email, support channels, or other communication methods.
It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that you may connect to from our Services. Those are governed by their own privacy policies.
3. Information We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you use our Services.
3.1. Account Information
When you sign up for HYPD, we collect:
Name
Email address
Password or authentication method
Workspace or company name (if provided)
Basic profile and settings (time zone, language, notification preferences)
This information is required to create and maintain your account.
3.2. Google Ads Integration Data
When you connect your Google Ads account to HYPD, we use Google OAuth and the Google Ads API to access the data needed to power our features. This may include:
Google account identifier and email address
Linked Google Ads customer IDs
Campaign, ad group, keyword, audience, and creative metadata
Performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, costs, conversions, and revenue-related metrics
Account configuration data (e.g., budgets, bid strategies, geo and device targeting)
We use the following Google Ads API scope (or a read-only subset, as applicable):
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords– access to your Google Ads account data for reporting, analytics, and insights.
We currently use the Google Ads API in a read-only manner. This means we do not create, edit, or delete campaigns, ads, budgets, or other settings in your Google Ads account through the API.
We do not use Google Ads data to:
Build or train generalized AI or machine learning models,
Sell your data,
Target you or others for advertising outside of the Services.
You control which Google Ads accounts you connect and can revoke access at any time (see Section 8).
3.3. Usage Data and Logs
When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:
IP address and approximate location (based on IP)
Browser type, device information, operating system
Pages viewed, features used, and actions taken in the app
Timestamps, session duration, and performance logs
Error and diagnostic information
We use this data to operate, secure, and improve our Services.
3.4. Chat, Queries, and Workflow Content
When you interact with HYPD (e.g., via chat, prompts, query builders, or dashboards), we process the content you provide, such as:
Questions you ask the system
Filters, date ranges, and accounts you select
Generated analyses, summaries, and reports
We may temporarily store queries, prompts, and results to:
Provide you with history and recent activity,
Improve reliability and troubleshooting,
Enhance product features (for example, better prompt templates and analytics).
Where possible, we minimize or avoid storing raw underlying Google Ads data. Instead, we focus on derived metrics, aggregates, and metadata, and often process data on the fly in response to your requests. We only store what is necessary to power features such as account history, comparisons, and reporting.
3.5. Communications and Support
If you contact us (e.g., via email, in-app chat, or support forms), we collect:
Your contact details (name, email)
The content of your message and any attachments
Metadata related to the communication (timestamps, channel)
We use this data to respond to you and improve our Services.
3.6. Billing and Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, we may collect:
Billing name and address
Tax information (where required)
Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor (e.g., Stripe or a similar provider) and are not stored on our servers. We only receive limited information (such as the last 4 digits and expiry date) for reference and invoicing.
3.7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website and in the app to:
Keep you logged in and secure your session
Remember your preferences (e.g., language, time zone)
Analyze usage and performance
Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not function properly if you block certain cookies.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the Services – including authenticating you, connecting to your Google Ads accounts, retrieving and displaying data, and generating insights.
To analyze performance and optimize campaigns – using your Google Ads data to power audits, reports, alerts, and AI-generated recommendations.
To maintain and improve the platform – monitoring usage, diagnosing issues, optimizing performance, and developing new features.
To communicate with you – sending onboarding emails, product updates, security alerts, and support responses.
To process payments and manage subscriptions – handling billing, invoicing, and account status.
To enforce our terms and comply with law – preventing abuse, fraud, and security incidents, and responding to legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Use of Google API Services Data
Our use of Google data is designed to be narrow and transparent.
HYPD's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data obtained via Google Ads API is used only to provide Services to you (e.g., analytics, audits, recommendations, and reports) and to maintain the security and integrity of the platform.
We do not use Google Ads data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
We do not combine Google Ads data with data from other users in order to build cross-customer profiles for ad targeting.
5.1. AI and Third-Party Model Providers
To generate insights and reports, we may use third-party AI model providers such as OpenAI, Google (Gemini), and Anthropic.
When we do this:
We send only the minimum necessary data (e.g., aggregated metrics, summaries, or structured descriptions of your campaigns).
Where available, we configure providers so that submitted data is not used to train their models.
We enter into contracts with such providers that include confidentiality and data protection obligations.
We may maintain a separate AI or model usage policy that provides more detail about specific providers and configurations. In case of any inconsistency, the stricter privacy protections will apply.
You can contact us at contact@hypd.ai if you would like more detail about our current AI vendors and how they handle data.
6. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract – to provide the Services you sign up for, including connecting to your Google Ads accounts and generating analytics.
Legitimate interests – to secure our Services, prevent abuse, improve features, and understand how our platform is used, provided these interests do not override your rights.
Consent – for certain analytics, marketing communications, and cookies where required by law.
Legal obligations – to comply with tax, accounting, or other regulatory requirements.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following situations:
7.1. Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate and improve the Services, including:
Cloud hosting and infrastructure
Databases and storage
Logging and monitoring tools
Payment processors
Email and communication tools
Analytics and error tracking
These providers only process your data on our behalf and under our instructions, are bound by confidentiality obligations, and are not allowed to use your personal data for their own purposes.
7.2. AI and Analytics Vendors
As described above, we may share limited, necessary data with AI model providers and analytics tools to power features like natural-language insights and performance reporting. We take steps to minimize data and apply privacy safeguards.
7.3. Compliance and Safety
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to:
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests,
Enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements,
Protect the rights, property, or safety of HYPD, our users, or the public,
Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
7.4. Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take steps to ensure your rights are preserved and notify you where required by law.
7.5. With Your Consent
We may share your information with other third parties when you explicitly authorize us to do so.
8. Authentication and Revoking Access
You can connect and disconnect your Google account at any time.
When you first connect Google Ads, you will see a consent screen describing the permissions requested.
You can revoke HYPD's access to your Google account at any time via your Google account settings: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
If you disconnect Google Ads, HYPD will no longer be able to access new data from your Google Ads account. We may retain limited historical data or derived reports as described in our retention policy below, unless you request deletion.
If you need help revoking access, you can contact us at contact@hypd.ai.
9. Data Retention
We keep your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.
In general:
Account data (such as your email, name, and settings) is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize this data within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.
Google Ads data retrieved through our integrations is retained only as long as needed to provide the Services (e.g., dashboards, reports, and comparisons). Where possible, we work with aggregates and derived metrics instead of raw logs.
Chat, prompts, and generated results may be stored for product functionality and history. Depending on your plan, we may retain a limited history (for example, around 30 days) so you can revisit past analyses and reports. You can request deletion of this history, and in any case it will be deleted or anonymized when your account is deleted, unless a longer period is required by law.
Technical logs and application traces used for security, debugging, and operations are typically retained for up to 60 days, after which they are deleted or anonymized, unless a longer period is legally required or necessary to investigate specific incidents.
Billing and invoicing records may be retained for up to 7–10 years, as required by tax and accounting laws.
We may anonymize data (so it can no longer be linked to a specific user) and use it for analytics, benchmarking, and product improvement.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access – to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification – to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure – to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Restriction – to request that we limit processing in certain cases.
Portability – to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible.
Objection – to object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing.
Withdrawal of consent – where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at contact@hypd.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
If you believe we have not handled your request or your personal data appropriately, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Marketing Communications
If you sign up for our newsletter or agree to receive product updates, we may send you emails about new features, tips, events, or promotions.
You can opt out at any time by:
Clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails, or
Contacting us at contact@hypd.ai.
Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you important service-related communications (e.g., security alerts, critical product updates, or billing notices).
12. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including:
Encryption in transit (TLS) and, where appropriate, at rest
Access controls and authentication for internal systems
Separation of environments and least-privilege principles
Monitoring, logging, and vulnerability management
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe that your account or data may have been compromised, please contact us immediately at contact@hypd.ai.
13. International Data Transfers
We may process and store your information on servers located in the European Union and/or other countries. When we transfer personal data outside of the EU/EEA or the UK, we use appropriate safeguards, such as:
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or
Other mechanisms approved by relevant authorities.
You can contact us if you would like more information about these safeguards.
14. Children's Privacy
Our Services are designed for business users and are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it as soon as reasonably possible. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at contact@hypd.ai.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notice.
Your continued use of the Services after the revised Privacy Policy becomes effective indicates that you have read and understood the changes.
